We regularly use the $Rev:: $ keyword substitution in SVN, such that documents are identified with their current SVN revision when printed or supplied to customers. This substitution is performed by the SVN client on opening the file.
The repository browser in Redmine does not handle keyword substitution.

No. The substitution is done during the checkout into a working copy.

It can't handle that, cause Redmine will not perform a checkout from the repository to
just view a file.
So i think will never become a implemented.
