Well, this would be good. But there should be some other improvements like start and due date with hours and some other types like meetings which could be assigned to issues like revisions.

Actually the accomplishment of issues is organized by days and not by hours. I think we should keep this way, because a management by hours is not practicable.
I would be greate to have a *interactive gantt diagram* where you can shift or extend the issue panels. In my opinion the calendar is a different but worse representation of the gantt diagram. Interactive calendar is less important.
I would program the jquery part, but first of all the gantt panels have to be improved, so that all parts of a single panel are nested in a div-tag. (A panel consists of part before today (red), complete period (grey), the done part (green) and the hovereffect area.)
Future Ideas: As Daniel Felix says, we could divide issues types into due date with and without hours. In this case the calendar view gets its benefit.
