When formatting characters are used with no spaces before them, (e.g.

- text without a space: some_text_, some*text*
- text with a space in between: some text, some text
This prevents us from using the wiki to enter some simple italian text (for example, "l'albero") without leaving an aesthetically unpleasant space in between ("l' albero")
