Like discussed in message#53144, I would like to suggest introducing a time-based release planning. At least the very next versions (major, minor) should have an approximate release date.
E.g., I'd like to know when version:3.5.0 will released. Just roughly! This year? Next year?
At least for the next versions. But you may consider also to introduce a half-year release plan or something like that. Redmine is mature enough and has many users that would appreciate that.
