I think it would be very helpful if each user could control his/her visibility in desired projects (public ones) in the process of project member selection, then it would keep privacy more and also simplify the process of project member selection by project managers.
It would also be very helpful if any user could control the profile info items visibility even to the extent of "first name", "last name" or control which one to show i.e. "first name", "last name" or userid.
