完了Redmine 4.2.4 installation failure, reason: tar.gz archive broken
0%
説明
When trying to update my Redmine instance to latest version @4.2.4@, I encountered the following error:
"Download page":https://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/Download
From there, I downloaded "redmine-4.2.4.tar.gz":https://www.redmine.org/attachments/download/28862/redmine-4.2.4.tar.gz (sha256: 7f50fd4a6cf1c1e48091a87696b813ba264e11f04dec67fb006858a1b49a5c7d)
When running the command @bundle exec rake generate_secret_token@, I was confronted with an error.
Reason:
The downloaded file has artifacts. Take a look at the root level:
PaxHeader redmine-4.2.4
What is this @PaxHeader@ directory for?
Please note that this @PaxHeader@ directory can be found not only on the root level, but also in various levels below, e.g.:
redmine-4.2.4\lib\PaxHeader\
Inside this directory I see various file swith strange content, e.g. @tasks@ with content:
17 gid=532141437 17 uid=532141437 27 mtime=1630962034.519262
These files cause installation to fail.
As workaround, I downloaded the .zip file "@redmine-4.2.4.zip@":https://www.redmine.org/attachments/download/28859/redmine-4.2.4.zip instead and could install Redmine without problems.

The releases are now available in the "releases":https://www.redmine.org/releases/ page and the [[Download]] page was updated to point to them. The archives attached to the Download page were just a temporary workaround (please see the "news":https://www.redmine.org/news/134 post).
